ETC rotary actuators are precisely engineered to control air dampers and fuel valves with exceptional accuracy. With a remarkable resolution of 0.1° over a 90° stroke, they ensure repeatable and reliable air-fuel ratio profiles—essential for maintaining optimal combustion conditions.

Each actuator operates independently within the burner control system—managing components like secondary air dampers and gas/oil metering valves—eliminating the need for traditional mechanical linkages. This modern design simplifies installation while significantly enhancing reliability and long-term system performance.


Why Eliminate Mechanical Linkages?

Conventional linkage systems are prone to hysteresis, backlash, and wear over time, all of which degrade combustion efficiency. Positioning becomes inconsistent, especially during direction changes, leading to higher fuel consumption and increased emissions.

To compensate, engineers often set combustion profiles further from the stoichiometric point, sacrificing efficiency for stability. ETC rotary actuators solve this by providing direct and precise control, allowing for more efficient, stable operation without compromises.


Flexible and Scalable Integration

The ETC range offers flexible actuator options to suit various applications. When greater torque is needed, larger rotary actuators can be integrated using the ETC6020 Line Voltage Servo Interface.

For hazardous environments, the ETC6023-Ex (20Nm) and ETC6024-Ex (40Nm) models are ATEX & IECEx certified (II 3 G Ex nR II C T5 Gc) and approved by ExVeritas. These Ex-certified actuators ensure safe, reliable operation in potentially explosive atmospheres and are fully compatible with all OEM ETC6000 series controllers.

Systems requiring integration with actuators in other zones can incorporate third-party drives using the ETC CANBus Servo Interface, offering additional flexibility for diverse burner system configurations.
